I think it would be nice to have the option of a view without ads.

The video tutorial (under the calendar help tab) shows a home page that looks a lot nicer in the journal box. I jotted in a quick entry last night, and now my home page has a 3-sentence text box over a large, animated ad.

Even when I have a picture there, it's a lot smaller than the one in the video. If I want to give the page a homey look, I'd need to use the journal like a blog to crowd the ad enough to spot the entry without looking for it.

(PS- you might want to add "blog" to the spell check dictionary!)

Thanks for your feedback! Although we currently do not have plans for an ad-free version of Cozi, we're certainly interested in knowing how many of you would be interested in a subscription-based, ad-free Cozi. If anyone else is interested in this, please free to reply to this post!

Thanks also for your feedback about the disparity between the journal appearance in the tour and in the product. We've heard similar comments from others, and we're continuing to work on this.

(P.S. Good point. Unfortunately we don't have control over the dictionary in the discussion board service. It also doesn't catch "Cozi"! :-s )

I'd like to add my vote for this feature. I'd happily pay a few dollars per month for no ads.

Put my name on the list for this one.  I had to stop using Cozi from work due to the constant video steam it opens.  We are not allowed to view online video at work and the software flags your ads like I was on Youtube.  Not to mention the ads are to invasive and break focus in Firefox all the time.  I will be entering items on the shopping list then the video will reset and my cursor disappears.  I may have to abandon the site if this keeps up.

Thank you for letting us know about the problem you've experienced with our video ads! We're really sorry about this inconvenience. This particular ad campaign is almost over, and we are considering this feedback before we run future ad programs like this.

Yes this feature is at the top of my list.  In fact, I might stop using it if its not available.  I just don't want my kids to see (or have the possiblity of clicking on) any ads that I can't control.  Safest way to go on the internet.

If you could at least minimize the size of ads and please STOP the constant moving ads. I get dizzy looking at my homepage because of the constant motion. I wanted to share cozi with a technology challenged (in her 60's) aunt of mine, but she won't like the "chaos" the ads create.
I'd pay for a subscription without ads.

I just signed up for Cozi. The first things I saw when I opened my page for the very first time were two *huge* ads for an unethical company. Now, I knew when I signed up that this was an ad-supported service, but the size of the ads are big and annoying. I'd gladly pay to be able to just have my content on my page. After all, Cozi needs to make a profit and keep the service running, and I'm happy to pay my share. The idea of an ad-supported free service for families is nice...but there's a limit to what is tasteful and practical. Eventually you don't feel like you're getting a service, but just becoming an audience for an ad.

I agree, too, that the constant-running ads are distracting and annoying.

And, just to clarify, the ads were so big on my page that, before I entered any information, I went looking for an ad-free version of this service, the ads put me off that much.
